Alaska Senate Morning Update

August 25, 2010

Amazing!  With 97.9% of precincts reporting in Alaska, Joe Miller is still ahead, but this Senate race is too close to call.  Miller leads 51.1% to 48.9%, which amounts to 1,960 votes.  Most of the remaining votes are from very rural and difficult to access regions of Alaska that also tend to be Democratic areas as well, so it may be hard for Murkowski to count on enough support there.

It looks as if the TEA Party has pulled off a stunning upset, but this isn’t over just yet ….
