Tuesday Is Election Day

October 31, 2010

Midterms are especially hard for the average voter, because information on our local representatives is difficult to find.  The campaigns are usually just slinging mud over who hates puppies and who wants grandma to eat cat food.  Finding out how your Congressman/Congresswoman voted on important issues is nearly impossible.

That is, until now.  The internet has done some amazing things for us.  It’s the freest of all possible free presses.  A way to disseminate information all over the world, instantly, at almost no cost.  Our founding fathers never imagined such a technological miracle, but they made its creation possible.

And so, I can present you with this link to The League of American Voters’ website, where you will find how your Congressman voted on the four most important issues in the last two years.   The votes are clearly presented as Yes, No, or Did Not Vote.  The truth isn’t caressed to soften the blow.

So what are you waiting for?  Go to the League of American Voters‘ site and become an educated voter.  Then go out to the polls Tuesday and vote for what you believe in with confidence!
